Heather co-founded TeachUNITED with a focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals rooted in 20 years of experience in public education and innovation. During the Covid crisis, TeachUNITED grew 10x to help lessen equity gaps resulting from the sudden shift in education, with programs operating across the US, Latin America, and East Africa.
Prior to TeachUNITED, Heather was a founding school principal launching a nationally recognized, pioneering K-12 hybrid school. She is currently a Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation Entrepreneur and Cordes Fellow, where she participates in a portfolio of social innovation and global education leaders.

Molly Hoehn brings more than 20 years of experience in education to her role at TeachUNITED, running the gamut from classroom teacher to COO of a company, Mawi Learning, that provides social and emotional learning to students and educators around the world, to managing a diverse product offering as Senior Director of Content and Curriculum at ACT.
While her experience is varied, the thread that connects them all is constant: a passionate belief in providing equitable opportunities for all learners to achieve their full potential.

With over 25 years of experience as a CFO and entrepreneur of multiple companies, Brian joins TeachUNITED as CFO. Brian brings a diverse background in accounting, finance, and management to successfully develop and grow client financial infrastructure.
Brian looks forward to building financial strategies to serve the long term growth of TeachUNITED. Brian is passionate about social impact and has served on the boards of social enterprises in the past working to reduce inequality.

Jess Heitner brings 15+ years of experience in both marketing and fundraising across multiple industries and organizations. After a decade with a large advertising agency, Jess transitioned to working with non-profit organizations. Running a local United Way office ignited her passion for mission-driven work, in particular, striving for educational equity.
That passion has drawn Jess to roles where she can combine her experience of strategic planning and powerful storytelling with impactful education programs like social emotional learning and educator professional development that drive positive outcomes for learners and educators.

With more than 10 years in education, as a classroom teacher, social emotional program manager, and postsecondary leadership trainer, Alea is passionate about serving students and educators. Alea is a current PhD candidate in Educational Policy Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, focused on policy implementation.
In her work with education programs, Alea centers a cycle of continuous improvement that makes sure we are constantly looking for new ways to support students. Without question, Alea knows the power of education to change the world, both for any individual student and for our global future.

JENNY BOYD

Jenny Boyd brings more than twenty years of experience in non-profit, start-up and professional environments to TeachUNITED, including diverse experience in marketing, fundraising, operations, international partnership management, and program development.
As a veteran of many young, start-up organizations including Kiva and TechStars, Jenny has a deep understanding of early-stage operational needs and works easily in resource limited environments to help them grow and thrive. Jenny is passionate about helping impact-driven organizations grow.

Gidibo is a forward-thinking development professional, proficient in developing high-quality working relationships across teams and organizations. He is talented at leveraging tenacious approaches to negotiating partnerships and strong attention to detail to drive mutual success. Gidibo brings over thirteen years of experience in international development with a focus on education & organizational development, sports for development initiatives, and influencing systemic change.
He is a serial entrepreneur who has founded a successful business and two Not-For-Profit organizations. He additionally sits on several Non-Profit boards. Gidibo holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a Major in Information Technology, has studied Research and Public Policy, and is pursuing a Master’s in Project Management.

MEGHAN CASEY

Meghan has been a key member of TeachUNITED’s Latin America team since inception. Meghan has also been facilitating intercultural, community-based experiential education experiences for over a decade while launching and overseeing her family run rainforest conservation and sustainable tourism project Chilamate Rainforest in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica.
Meghan has degrees from SFU in BC, Canada in Communications and Latin American Studies, as well as a Diploma in Social Innovation from the United Nations Peace University. She is currently working on a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management. She is passionate about nature and conservation, sustainable community development, and bringing innovative quality education to low income rural areas of Latin America.

In her previous role as the Director of Digital Learning and Curriculum at ACT, she served as an expert in instructional technology with a focus on digital curriculum design and implementation for PreK-12 academic and social-emotional learning products. Heather is passionate about harnessing the power of education to transform the lives of youth.

Morgan has a strong background in managing and conducting evaluations of educational programs and initiatives. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of education, including 10 years as a full-time faculty member at a central Florida university and over 15 years in educational research and evaluation in public schools.
Morgan has dedicated his life to improving the lives of students by equipping and supporting educators and leaders as decision-makers. Growing up as a child of poverty in a rural Native American community, Morgan understands first-hand the power education has to change the lives of individuals and communities.

ELIGI TAIRO

Eligi Tairo was born in Tanzania and works with schools in the Karatu and Monduli districts. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History and English language from the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania.
Tairo has been a teacher for nearly 10 years and has taught history and agriculture science. He was one of the first teachers to participate in the TeachUNITED program, then joined TeachUNITED as a Coach where he was inspired to share his experience and knowledge about transforming teaching to learner-centered classrooms in rural schools. Tairo now leads the East Africa program alongside his team.

Modesta Wiley has been teaching in rural Tanzania for almost ten years. Modesta participated in the TeachUNITED coaching program at Bashay Primary School and was voted 2017 TU Teacher of the Year. She is experienced in teaching both primary and secondary education and has been working as a Second Head teacher for several years. Modesta is passionate about teaching, and helping other teachers grow and refine their skills.

Meghan Antol has worked in education for 13 years. Her career began as a teacher on the Navajo Nation in rural New Mexico. Most recently, she has had the opportunity to work as an Instructional Coach and Gifted Education Specialist at schools in Durham, North Carolina.
Meghan holds degrees in Elementary and Academically/Intellectually Gifted Education, International Comparative Studies, and Cultural Anthropology from Duke University and Western New Mexico University.
