Coming Together

To Ensure Quality Education for All

The work you do to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education is critical for the health and well-being of your communities.

Together, through the UNITED in Learning Program, we can help ensure students, teachers, and their communities become more resilient and break cycles of poverty.

UNITED in learning program

TeachUNITED UNITED in Learning Program is a research-based training program that builds teaching and learning skills for use in any classroom. We establish partnerships with education-based NGOs and government agencies for a minimum of 6-months. Then, through side-by-side instructional coaching, online learning content, and cohort-based activities, we train your staff to deliver our effective teacher training to the educators and school leaders that you serve. As a partner, once trained, you become a TU Fellow, implementing the proven TeachUNITED program in your communities.

why instructional coaching?

Our coaches make learning active for your staff and partner teachers, allowing your team to become involved in the learning. You are provided guided practice to deepen your understanding of new content and implement it in a classroom setting.

Build

Through our supportive train-the-trainer program, your team will gain the skills and resources needed to build the capacity of teachers in your school networks.

Sustain

This coaching model and pedagogy-based program ensures that your network of schools can support and sustain growth of their teachers for years to come.

improve

Together, you, your school network, and TeachUNITED, work to improve student academic growth, achievement, and professional readiness.

How the program works

what the program offers

EMBEDDED COACHING

TU coaches work with your staff, side-by-side, to prepare them with the most effective teaching and learning tools and strategies. Our coaches provide feedback and support while your staff practices skills, so they are prepared to serve as TU Fellows to schools and teachers in your community once certified.

IMPACTFUL STRATEGIES

Your staff learns to instruct and coach your community teachers on high-impact teaching strategies. Our pedagogy based program and its strategies are rooted in an international meta-analysis of 80,000+ research studies from educational interventions around the world proven to maximize student performance.

  • Growth Mindset: Helping students and educators build the belief that intelligence, talents, and skills can grow with meaningful effort
  • Engagement: Supporting strategies and design of work that increase student engagement
  • Personalization: Modifying process, platform, and place to adapt students’ learning experiences
  • Data Driven Instruction: Using a data-driven inquiry cycle to build continuous improvement

PRACTICAL, ACTIONABLE CONTENT

Designed to maximize student engagement and achievement, the flexible course provides practical tools and approaches that can be practiced right away. And our flexible delivery model ensures TU Fellows and their community of teachers can learn on their own schedule and timeline.

COHORT-BASED LEARNING

United in a shared commitment to reaching your mission, your team will work together in small group cohorts to share ideas, reinforce lessons learned, discuss and overcome challenges, and support each other on the path to becoming a certified TU Fellow.

AMPLIFICATION OF YOUR MISSION

You are the experts in your community. TeachUNITED is an expert in educator training and empowerment. Our train-the-trainer programs give your team the best, most effective, research-based strategies for improving educational outcomes for youth in order to support and amplify your critical mission.

What’s your “why”? Why a coach?

Being a coach is a role that goes beyond knowing; Being a coach requires commitment, reflection, analysis, resilience, innovation, solidarity, kindness, understanding, and above all motivation. When a true coach achieves an alliance with his teachers; a gear is built focused on changing the way of teaching. That union makes the overall results more meaningful. A true coach makes his teachers shine and feeds on their light to motivate their actions. It is not an easy task, but it is very rewarding to have teachers doing wonderful things for their students and generating a change in their mentality and their future possibilities. Indirectly; a coach helps to change the world and his example is replicated in other teachers and in other settings. I feel very happy to be a coach, and it motivates me to keep improving to give the best to my teachers and their students.

What makes you smile most?

My daughters. I am the father to two beautiful girls, 7 and 2 years old.

a solution for you

Join a committed group of organizations dedicated to building equitable education systems for rural and underserved youth. The TeachUNITED UNITED in Learning Program provides organizations with instructional coaching, online professional learning content, and opportunities for peer learning and support. Partner organizations then bring the program directly to their communities to continue the capacity building of small and rural schools where access to quality coaching and support is often more limited.
