SCHOOL ACCELERATOR PROGRAM:
TEACHER PATHWAY
Teaching and learning is not a one-and-done endeavor, so your teachers work with our coaches for a minimum of one school year to build capacity and support sustainable growth. The School Accelerator Program: Teacher Pathway combines evidence-based components of 1:1 coaching, actionable content, and peer led learning to maximize your educators’ growth and engagement.
Why Teachers?
Teacher quality is the single biggest school-related factor impacting student success. Teacher effectiveness impacts the academic achievement, persistence in school, and long-term wellbeing of children, and even influences income once young people enter the labor markets.
how the program works
what the program offers
CAPACITY-BUILDING FOR SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATION
Teachers and coaches focus on strategies proven to have the most impact on student outcomes (growth mindset, student engagement, personalized and blended learning, data-driven classrooms). And the train-the-trainer model ensures school-wide, long-term systemic growth for your team of educators.
FLEXIBLE PROGRAM DELIVERY
Teachers access both synchronous and asynchronous opportunities to learn and refine skills and put those new skills into practice in the classroom with coaching, support, and feedback.
TANGIBLE TOOLS
By targeting the tools and approaches needed to teach successfully in the digital age, teachers learn how to create and lead engaging, data-driven, student-centered classrooms. Throughout the course, participating teachers practice, reflect, and revise these strategies for the most impact.
PEDAGOGY-BASED
Your educators learn pedagogy-based strategies that work with any curriculum and complement any other initiative your school or district has undertaken to make teaching and learning better.
what partners say

Ruby Bode, Assistant Superintendent, Estes Park, CO
“In order to increase the choice, and voice, and ownership of learning that students felt in our schools, we reached out to TeachUNITED for coaching and help in how we make our learning more personalized. And so that formed a great partnership with TeachUNITED.”

Lori Thilmany, Office of Virtual Education, WY Department of Education
“TeachUNITED’s support for Wyoming’s educators was critical during COVID school disruptions. It helped our teachers get quickly up to speed on instructional skills and strategies needed to ensure students were well supported and high-quality learning continued. The skills obtained are transferable to all learning environments, so our experience with TeachUNITED will have an impact on teaching and learning well beyond COVID.”

Karissa Millward, Teacher, Wind River High School, WY
“I enjoyed this course because of all the resources that were brought to my attention. I was able to see connections across my practice and within the sources, which brought a sense of pride for my lessons and creations within the classroom.”

What’s your “why”?
Some of my first international travel experiences were to very rural global destinations. One of the things that stuck with me the most from these experiences was the common thread of education. Seeing the extent of educational inequities that existed, as well as the passion, work, and desire of the people to make quality education a reality in their communities left a deep impact on me. After college, I had the opportunity to teach on a reservation in the United States, and I personally experienced how some of the same issues are very much present in our own country. I became an educator because I believe that education is the primary tool to break the cycle of poverty and a global human right. I wanted to somehow be a part of the solution and work to build quality education for all children, regardless of zip code, situation, or background.
Who was your favorite school teacher and why?
My high school English teachers were my favorite. They all truly loved the subject matter they taught, which made us love it, too. Those were the classes where I also consistently felt most supported, and they rarely taught by lecturing, which made me feel more interested/engaged.
What hobbies do you enjoy?
Hiking, cooking, reading, and traveling. I also have done ballet (and other various forms of dance) for years and enjoy performing with local dance companies on occasion.
